Directed: Lloyd Bacon

Year: 1933

Nominated: Best Film

Plot in 25 Words: I can’t remember a single thing about this film aside from the title song. It’s a good song with a romping dance number. Top marks!

In My Opinion: I’m honestly drawing a complete blank. I read the title of the film and I get that bloody song, or rather, chorus, running through my head. Nothing else.

The most interesting thing about it is, that is the book it’s based on, two of the main characters were in a homosexual relationship. God forbid that make it to the silver screen, and it was changed due to “the moral standards of the era.”

Star Performer: Bebe Daniels – she looks kind of familiar.

Overall: From the familiarity I feel when watching clips, I’m confident I watched it, but it’s just a beige blur.
